Burial Register

Before searching the Table below for a name, you may need to select a larger number in the Show [10] entries box (default 10) to avoid missing some records, this is particularly relevant for fairly common names. You can search on any information (or part of that information) that you choose, sometimes it is better to search with a wider choice (like the first three letters of a name) and then narrow the search afterwards.

Once you have located the name you want in the Table below, note the details in the Sect(ion)/Plot column. The Section and Plot reference is followed by a Letter/Number reference to enable you to locate the relevant plot on one of the three plans which follow at the end of this page. Use the appropriate plan determined by the prefix CY, GR or MAP then look up the letter (across) and number (down) to locate the chosen plot. Burials in Sections 4-11 are not shown precisely in a grid, as following the passage of time, only an indication of location is possible for many graves which may no longer be marked.

It may help to check the MAP plan first to understand the orientation of the CY and GR plans with respect to the church and churchyard boundaries. The CY plan is a six page PDF file and the GR plan is a three page PDF file. It is tricky but will still be quicker that hunting for the plot on the ground!

DEPENDING ON THE SPEED OF YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION IT MAY TAKE 5-10 SECONDS OR MORE TO LOAD THE TABLE. You will know when loading is complete when you see the Show [10] entries and Search boxes appear just above the table.
